- Garments of DuPont™ NOMEX® brand fiber offer the lightweight, comfortable protection your workers are looking for. NOMEX® provides outstanding flame resistance, but that’s not all. Fabrics of NOMEX® are also very strong and extremely durable, especially when compared to other materials such as flame-retardant treated (FRT) cotton fabrics. As a result, garments can be made from lighter-weight fabrics of NOMEX® for increased comfort and coolness.

Fabric Guide: - Light weight. Breathable. Inherently Flame-Resistant DuPont Nomex IIIA (93% Nomex Aramid/5% Kevlar Aramid/2% Other Fiber) garments are extremely durable, so they aren’t damaged by laundering. Nomex IIIA apparel is preferred by workers in petrochemical and refinery environments and makes a great choice for electric and gas utility workers. Standard for Safety:
- Certification: Meet ASTM F1506, OSHA Final Rule 1910.269, NFPA 70E U.S. Safety standards. EN531 Standard.
- Fabric: Available in 4.5 oz and 6.0 oz
- Protection: 4.5 oz – ARC Rating ATPV 4.8 calories/cm2 and 6 oz – ARC Rating ATPV 5.7 calories/cm2
